Definition
Ambivalency is essentially the same as "ambivalence": the state of having mixed or contradictory feelings about something. Think of it as being both excited and nervous about a first date π¬. It's not simply indecision, but a simultaneous experience of opposing emotions. It could involve loving and hating a person at the same time, or wanting to do something while also fearing the consequences. Ambivalency can be confusing, but is a normal and complex part of human psychology.
