Andrea Guarneri (c. 1626 โ 1698) was an Italian luthier, a master craftsman of stringed instruments. He founded the Guarneri family of violin makers in Cremona. His instruments are known for their tonal qualities and craftsmanship. Think of him as the original recipe for the Guarneri sound. His work influenced generations of luthiers. He set the standard for his family's legacy.
