Definition
An antibaryon is the antimatter counterpart of a baryon ⚛️. Baryons are composite subatomic particles made up of three quarks, like protons and neutrons. Antibaryons have the same mass as their baryon counterparts but opposite charge and other quantum numbers. Think of it like a mirror image of a baryon. If a baryon is 'matter', the antibaryon is 'antimatter'. When a baryon meets an antibaryon, they annihilate each other, releasing energy.
