Definition
A babyrousa is a unique species of wild pig found on the Indonesian islands of Sulawesi, Togian, Sula and Buru. π These pigs are known for the distinctive tusks of the males, which can grow upwards and curve back towards their foreheads. They are relatively slender and long-legged compared to other pigs. Babyrousa are also sometimes referred to as 'deer-pigs' due to their legs and unique tusk arrangement. They are an endangered species threatened by habitat loss and hunting. Imagine them as the punks of the pig world.
