Definition
A barkeeper, also called a bartender, is someone who prepares and serves alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks behind a bar. ๐น They're like the culinary artists of beverages, crafting cocktails and pouring beers. Think of them as the social hub of a bar, mixing drinks and chatting with customers. Unlike a server who delivers drinks, a barkeeper is stationed at the bar. They need to know recipes and maybe offer a listening ear. They are responsible for keeping the bar clean, taking inventory, and sometimes handling cash. A barkeeper is to a bar what a chef is to a restaurant.
