Definition
Breech delivery refers to childbirth where the baby is positioned feet-first or bottom-first in the womb, instead of head-first. This can make delivery more complicated, as the head is the largest part of the baby and normally guides the way. It's not necessarily a dangerous situation, but it often requires extra care and monitoring. There are different types of breech presentations, depending on how the baby's legs are positioned. Sometimes a doctor might try to turn the baby before labor.
