A capillary tube is a narrow tube with a small internal diameter. ๐ฌ It's designed to allow liquids to flow through it via capillary action, which is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of, or even in opposition to, external forces like gravity. Unlike a regular pipe, a capillary tube relies on surface tension and adhesion to move fluids. Think of it as a tiny straw that sucks up liquid all on its own. Capillary tubes are used in various scientific and medical applications. The smaller the diameter, the greater the capillary action.
