Chasidim (also spelled Hasidim or Hassidim) are a subgroup within Orthodox Judaism known for their emphasis on spirituality, joy, and community. Think of them as the super-spiritual, ultra-friendly branch of Judaism. They focus on a personal relationship with God and value prayer, song, and dance. Each Chasidic group follows a Rebbe (spiritual leader), who is considered a link to the divine. They often have distinctive clothing and customs. 😊
