Definition
Being chilly means feeling slightly cold, a step above cool but not quite freezing. It's like that first nip of autumn air π or walking into an air-conditioned room after being outside. A chilly atmosphere can be refreshing or uncomfortable, depending on the situation. Think of a light jacket being enough to ward off the cold, but not a full winter coat. It differs from being freezing, where you're shivering uncontrollably, or warm, where you're comfortable. It is a mild form of coldness.
