Definition
A chromatic color is any color that has hue, meaning it's not white, black, or gray. These are the colors that we typically think of as 'colors' – red, blue, green, yellow, purple, and all their variations. Unlike achromatic colors, which are neutral, chromatic colors possess distinct wavelengths and can be described in terms of hue, saturation, and brightness. Think of a rainbow or a vibrant painting. They add visual interest and play a vital role in how we perceive the world.
