Definition
Daubentoniidae is a family containing only one extant species: the aye-aye. They are primates native to Madagascar, known for their unique morphology and behavior. The aye-aye has a slender middle finger used for foraging insects. Think of them as the oddballs of the primate world. ðĪŠ Unlike other primates, they use echolocation to find food. Their appearance is quite unusual compared to other lemurs. They're like the eccentric inventors of the animal kingdom.
