A "devisor" is the person who gives real property (land or buildings) to someone else in a will. They're the individual making the bequest of real estate to a "devisee." Think of them as the owner of the property who decides who will inherit it after their death. It's the flip side of being a "devisee," where one receives; a devisor gives. This term specifically refers to real property, not personal belongings. The act of giving real property in a will is called a "devise."
