Definition
Entailment is a logical relationship between statements where the truth of one statement guarantees the truth of another. If statement A is true, then statement B *must* also be true. For example, 'John is a bachelor' entails 'John is unmarried.' The first statement makes the second one necessarily true. Entailment is a strong form of implication. Entailment goes beyond simple suggestion. It is a foundational concept in logic and critical reasoning.
