Definition
Entozoic refers to something that lives as a parasite inside the body of another organism. It describes the relationship where one organism benefits at the expense of another, establishing itself within the host's internal environment. Think of it as a tiny stowaway setting up camp inside a much larger creature. π Unlike external parasites that live on the surface, entozoic organisms dwell within tissues or organs. It is similar to a virus inside a computer but in living form. The host can be harmed, directly or indirectly. These organisms often have specialized adaptations to survive in such an environment.
