The 'fairy armadillo,' or pink fairy armadillo, is the world's smallest armadillo species. This tiny creature is known for its pale pink shell and soft fur. It lives in the dry grasslands and sandy plains of central Argentina. Imagine a living, breathing, rose-colored thimble! Unlike other armadillos, its shell is only attached along its back. It's a nocturnal burrower, spending most of its time underground. They are very sensitive to environmental changes.
