Flodden, also known as the Battle of Flodden Field, was a major battle fought in 1513 between England and Scotland. The Scottish army, led by King James IV, was decisively defeated by the English. King James IV himself was killed in the battle, along with many of his nobles. It was a devastating blow to Scotland and a significant victory for England. Think of it like a historical 'red wedding' for the Scottish nobility.
