A 'four-flusher' is a more intense version of a bluffer. It describes someone who is not only trying to deceive but is also pretentious and showy about it. They flaunt what they don't have or haven't earned, often trying to appear more important or wealthy than they are. Imagine a person wearing fake designer clothes and bragging about their 'mansion.' The term suggests a lack of substance beneath the surface. They overcompensate to hide their insecurities.
