Gasteropoda is simply an alternate spelling of Gastropoda, referring to the same class of mollusks. They both include snails and slugs, showcasing a huge variety of shapes, sizes, and lifestyles. These creatures are mainly defined by their single shell (though some lack one). They thrive in a wide array of habitats, from ocean depths to freshwater lakes and even land. It's just a different way of writing the same word.
