Haemodialysis is the same procedure as hemodialysis, used to purify blood when the kidneys fail. It filters out waste and excess fluids, returning the cleansed blood to the body. It's a life-sustaining treatment, not a cure, typically needed several times a week. Think of it as an external kidney. Without it, toxic substances would accumulate, leading to serious health complications. Compared to a kidney transplant, it's a temporary solution.
