A harvest mouse is a tiny rodent, known for its small size and skill in climbing stalks of grain. πΎ Unlike house mice, they prefer fields and meadows. Think of them as the acrobats of the mouse world, using their prehensile tails for balance. They build round nests in tall grasses, a bit like miniature bird nests. They're active both day and night. These mice are vital to the ecosystem, spreading seeds and serving as food for predators. Sadly, their habitat is threatened by agriculture and development.
