Henry I (c. 1068–1135) was King of England from 1100 to 1135. He was the youngest son of William the Conqueror. Known for his political shrewdness and administrative abilities, he consolidated royal power and implemented legal and financial reforms. He issued the Charter of Liberties, a precursor to the Magna Carta. His reign brought relative peace and stability after the turbulent Norman Conquest. He was nicknamed "Beauclerc" (meaning "fine scholar") due to his education.
