Hesiod was an ancient Greek poet, traditionally dated to the 8th century BC. He is known for his didactic poetry, like "Works and Days" and "Theogony." "Works and Days" offers advice on farming, morality, and daily life. "Theogony" presents a genealogy of the Greek gods. Hesiod's works provide insights into early Greek society and mythology.
