"Hyperopic" describes farsightedness, meaning you can see distant objects clearly but have trouble focusing on things up close. It's the opposite of nearsightedness (myopia). Imagine struggling to read a book but being able to see a street sign far away. Itβs a common vision condition that can be corrected with glasses or contacts. It is caused by the eye focusing light behind the retina. Unlike presbyopia, which is age-related, hyperopia can occur at any age.
