Definition
A lagomorph is any mammal belonging to the order Lagomorpha, which includes rabbits, hares, and pikas. They are characterized by having two pairs of incisors in their upper jaw, one directly behind the other, and a specialized digestive system for processing plant matter. Lagomorphs are herbivores, feeding mainly on grasses and leafy plants. They often have powerful hind legs, allowing them to hop or leap. They are distinct from rodents, which only have one pair of incisors.
