Lambis is a genus of large sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Strombidae, known as spider conchs. These snails are characterized by their elongated shells and the presence of finger-like projections along the outer lip. They're like the punks of the sea, sporting crazy hairstyles made of shell! π€ These projections give them a unique, almost alien appearance. Unlike garden snails, they prefer warm, tropical waters and sandy seabeds. Think of them as the supermodels of the snail world, always posing for the cameras. πΈ They use a claw-like operculum to hop across the ocean floor.
