Definition
Lashkar-e-Omar (LeO) was a Pakistan-based Sunni militant group. It was primarily active in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The group was known for its sectarian violence, mainly targeting Shia Muslims in Pakistan. Think of them as a particularly dangerous gang with extreme religious views. They aimed to enforce their version of Islamic law through violence and terror. The group has been largely dismantled due to Pakistani government crackdowns.
