"Left stage" is a less common way to refer to the left side of the stage from the audience's perspective. While "stage left" is the standard term (from the *actor's* perspective), "left stage" describes the same location from the *audience* perspective. So "left stage" means the same as "house left”. It’s not often used for stage directions given to actors. The term is often used for descriptions of the scenery from the audience's POV. 🎭
