In American football, 'linemen' are the players who form the offensive and defensive lines of scrimmage. Their primary job is to block and protect their teammates. Think of them as the unsung heroes of the gridiron. Unlike the flashy running backs or quarterbacks, linemen do the dirty work in the trenches.
