Definition
Lint is the fuzzy material that separates from cloth, yarn, or other fibrous materials. It's commonly found in clothes dryers, pockets, and on surfaces where fabric is used. Think of it as fabric's shedding β tiny fibers that detach over time. Although seemingly insignificant, excessive lint buildup can be a fire hazard in dryers. Itβs a common household nuisance but also has medical uses (sterile lint as a wound dressing). From clean laundry to cleaning wounds, lint has more uses than you think.
