Macrotis is a genus of nocturnal marsupials, commonly known as bilbies, found in Australia. These rabbit-eared critters are known for their silky blue-grey fur, long snouts, and powerful claws for digging. They occupy arid and semi-arid regions. Their burrows provide shelter from the harsh desert climate. Think of them as the architects of the outback, creating elaborate underground tunnel systems. Sadly, bilbies are endangered due to habitat loss and competition with rabbits.
