The mastoidale is an anatomical landmark on the skull. Specifically, it's the most inferior (lowest) point on the mastoid process, a bony projection behind the ear π. It's often used as a reference point in medical imaging and anthropometry (measuring human body dimensions). Think of it as the 'tip' of the bony bump you can feel behind your ear. Knowing its location helps doctors and scientists understand skull structure and variations. It's a relatively small feature with significant implications.
