Definition
Miserliness is an extreme greediness or stinginess with money and possessions. It's more than just being frugal; it's a deep-seated unwillingness to spend or share, often to an unhealthy degree. Think of someone who hoards wealth but lives in poverty. Miserliness is driven by a fear of losing resources. It's the antithesis of generosity and charity. Unlike careful saving, miserliness brings little joy.
