Definition
A mouflon is a wild sheep found in Corsica and Sardinia, considered one of the ancestors of modern domestic sheep. They are smaller than bighorn sheep and have reddish-brown coats. The males have curved horns, while the females may have smaller horns or none at all. Mouflons are adapted to mountainous terrain and graze on grasses and shrubs. They're like the smaller, more ancient cousins of domestic sheep. 🐑 They represent a link to the past.
