Definition
A narwhal (*Monodon monoceros*) is a medium-sized toothed whale that lives in the Arctic waters. Males are famous for their long, spiraled tusk, which is actually a modified tooth. Narwhals are social animals, living in pods and communicating with various vocalizations. These whales are well-adapted to icy conditions and feed on fish, squid, and shrimp. Think of them as the unicorns of the sea 🦄, but way more real and resilient.
