Definition
A noctuid moth is like the undercover agent of the moth world. π΅οΈββοΈ These moths belong to the Noctuidae family, one of the largest in the insect kingdom. Unlike their showier butterfly cousins, noctuid moths are usually active at night, preferring the cover of darkness. Think of them as the ninjas of the moth world, silently flying around under the moonlight. They often have muted colors, helping them blend in with their surroundings, and their caterpillars (larvae) can be major agricultural pests. So, they're not always the good guys. π
