A 'notonecta' is a genus of aquatic insects also known as backswimmers. They're like tiny, upside-down canoes in the water, paddling with their long legs. 🛶 Unlike most bugs, they swim on their backs. They have piercing-sucking mouthparts to eat smaller insects and tadpoles. Backswimmers can also deliver a painful bite to humans if mishandled, so it's best to observe them carefully. Think of them as the ninjas of the pond, stealthy and a bit dangerous! 🥷
