"One-eared" describes someone or something with only one ear, or an impaired hearing in one ear. đ Imagine trying to judge where a sound comes from using only one ear; it would be much harder. This condition can affect spatial hearing and balance. While it's a physical characteristic, it can also influence how someone perceives sound and interacts with their environment. Unlike having two working ears that provide stereo sound, being one-eared creates a monaural experience. It's similar to seeing with one eye versus two; depth perception is reduced.
