Definition
Order Araneida is an older, less preferred synonym for Order Araneae, the group containing all spider species. Spiders are characterized by their eight legs, silk-producing spinnerets, and venomous chelicerae. They are highly diverse, found in nearly every habitat on Earth, and play crucial roles in their ecosystems. Modern classification typically uses 'Araneae' instead of 'Araneida'. They are all predators (mostly insects). Think of them as the eight-legged wonders of the animal kingdom.
