'Osteichthyes' is the scientific name for the class of bony fish. ð This is a HUGE group of fish that includes almost all the fish you're familiar with, from goldfish to tuna. They're characterized by their bony skeletons, as opposed to the cartilaginous skeletons of sharks and rays.
