Definition
A paramedic is a highly trained medical professional who responds to emergencies and provides advanced medical care outside of a hospital setting 🚑. They assess patients, administer medications, perform life-saving procedures, and transport patients to the hospital. Think of them as mobile emergency rooms. Unlike EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians), paramedics have a higher level of training and can perform more complex medical interventions. They're often the first line of defense in critical situations. They're similar to doctors, but they operate in the field, often under extreme pressure.
