Phoronida are a small phylum of marine worms that live in tubes they secrete. 🪱 These worms are filter feeders, extending their lophophore (a crown of tentacles) to capture food particles from the water. They're mostly found in shallow coastal waters. Think of them as tiny, tentacled gardeners of the sea. They play a small but important role in marine ecosystems, filtering water and providing food for other creatures. They have a U-shaped gut, which is kind of weird.
