Definition
A physiologist is a scientist who studies how living organisms function. They investigate the normal functions of cells, tissues, organs, and systems within the body. π¬ Think of them as the body's mechanics, understanding how all the parts work together. They may research how exercise affects the heart or how the kidneys regulate fluid balance. Unlike an anatomist who studies the structure of the body, a physiologist studies its functions. They often contribute to developing new medical treatments.
