*Picea obovata*, or Siberian spruce, is a cold-hardy evergreen tree native to Russia and parts of Asia. 🌲 It's similar to Norway spruce but has some subtle differences in cone and needle characteristics. Unlike some spruces, its needles tend to be bluish-green. Think of it as the slightly more mysterious cousin of the Norway spruce. It thrives in extremely cold climates. It provides habitat for wildlife in its native range.
