Definition
The prepuce, also known as the foreskin, is a retractable fold of skin covering the glans (head) of the penis. It's present in uncircumcised males. The foreskin provides protection and lubrication for the glans. It contains nerve endings and contributes to sexual pleasure. During an erection, the foreskin typically retracts to expose the glans. Circumcision involves the surgical removal of the foreskin. ✂️
