Definition
"Pride" is a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that one is widely admired for. It can be a sense of accomplishment, but when excessive, it becomes arrogance. Think of it as the line between feeling good about yourself and thinking you're better than everyone else. π It's a complex emotion that can motivate or corrupt. Pride, when unchecked, can lead to a downfall, like a tower built too high.
