Definition
A right fielder is a specific type of outfielder who plays in the right side of the outfield, as viewed from home plate. βΎ They need a strong throwing arm, as they often have to make long throws to third base to prevent runners from advancing. They should also be quick and agile to cover ground and catch fly balls. They must know the field dimensions intimately. Like other outfielders, they are the last line of defense, but with specific responsibilities.
