Sailor's choice, also known as Haemulon parra, is a species of grunt found in the Western Atlantic. Grunts got their name from the grunting sound they produce by rubbing their teeth together, amplified by their swim bladder. They're typically silver-blue with bronze stripes, blending into coral reefs. Think of them as the jazz musicians of the sea, always humming their own tune. They are social fish, often found in schools, and are important to reef ecosystems by feeding on invertebrates. They're like the tidy neighbors of the reef, keeping things clean. As for size, they usually grow up to about 12 inches, making them manageable members of the ocean community.
