Scruples are feelings of doubt or hesitation about the morality or ethicality of a course of action 🤔. They're those little voices in your head that make you question whether something is right, even if it might be beneficial to you. Having scruples means you have a strong moral conscience and are concerned about doing the right thing. It's the opposite of being unscrupulous or having no moral reservations. Imagine your conscience as a tiny lawyer, arguing the case against a potentially unethical decision. Essentially, scruples are the moral brakes that prevent us from acting impulsively or selfishly.
