A sea horse is the same as a seahorse: a small, bony fish with a distinctive horse-like head and a prehensile tail. These creatures are part of the *Hippocampus* genus and the Syngnathidae family. They are found in temperate and tropical waters, often camouflaged among seaweed or coral reefs. The male sea horse incubates the eggs in a pouch. They primarily eat small crustaceans and invertebrates. Sea horses are fascinating examples of marine adaptation.
