Definition
"Seiurus" is a genus of birds within the family Parulidae (New World warblers). It contains only two species: the Ovenbird and the Waterthrush. Think of it as a family name for these two bird types. These birds are ground-dwelling and have distinctive habits. It differentiates them from other warblers. Unlike most warblers, they prefer walking to hopping. They nest on the ground, often concealed under leaf litter.
